Red Hippo offers website care packages with full email support, allowing you to contact us whenever you have a question. We also offer packages that include regular updates, on-site changes, technical support, broken link scans and spam removal.

My website is basic, do I really need a care plan?

Short answer, yes.

It is extremely important to keep your website backed up and updated with the latest versions of software and associated plugins. Search engines, browsers and mobile phones are constantly changing, so it’s important your site remains compatible so that your customers continue to have a seamless experience.

Software updates also help with security to ensure that your customers’ details are not compromised.

One or two years ago, there was about one theme update a month and one WordPress update every 2-3 months. Now, they are happening multiple times a week! This dynamic environment means you need to keep a close eye on things.

This means someone needs to keep an eye on your website. That can be yourself, or if you don’t want to DIY, we are here for you.

Can I accumulate the technical support time?

No. If technical support isn’t used, it cannot be rolled over or accumulated for later months.
However, each month we will contact you asking for changes so that you will always have the opportunity to use it, and if we find you are not using your time, we will suggest a different plan.

 

What is included in the technical support time?

In your technical support time, this can include:

  • bug fixing
  • adding in new content (e.g. blogs, images, staff photos)
  • updating existing content
  • small changes to site layouts
  • add in some new features (e.g. Instagram feed, links to online calendar, chatbot)

The technical support time doesn’t include strategy calls, training or content creation.  For any major changes, we will provide a quote. 

 

What if I need extra changes that are not in my plan?

We are happy to help you with any changes to your site.
For projects over your allocated time we will provide you with a quote.

I had my website built elsewhere, can you still look after it for me?

We are happy to care for websites we haven’t built as part of our monthly care plans, but this requires us to do a website audit prior to taking it on.
This helps us to get to know your website, compile access to your hosting and domain, understand how it was built and assess the site for potential security risks or issues. 

This audit is charged at $AU499 and we will give you a full report of our findings. 

Terms & Conditions

*Content (copy and images) must be provided by the client. Monthly updates cannot be rolled over or accumulated. Any work over prescribed hours will be quoted before commencing. All monthly packages are for a minimum of 3 months, after which they can be terminated with 30-days notice in writing. Discounts apply when paid annually.
